Freedom Development Corporation (FDC) was established on January 13, 1989 as a 501© 3 corporation servicing the greater West Philadelphia area as an outreach of Freedom Worldwide Ministries and Freedom Christian Bible Fellowship Church. In conjunctions with the ministries of Freedom Christian Bible Fellowship Church and other community and government-based programs, FDC addresses core issues associated with social, economic, educational, and community development needs.

The corporation was formed to facilitate the vision of Freedom Worldwide Ministries in assisting residents to become socially, economically, and spiritually empowered. In essence, the corporation’s goal is to enable all people to reach self-sufficiency and attain the highest quality of life while meeting their immediate spiritual, social, and economic needs.

MISSION STATEMENT

• Freedom Development Corporation is commissioned to empower the lives of individuals and families with adequate and viable resources and information by planning, developing, and initiating social, educational, economic and community development programs and projects that will enable them to attain and live an enriched physical, spiritual and productive life.
• This is accomplished by offering an array of services in the form of:
  • Housing
  • Social Service Outreach Programs
  • Workforce Development
  • Educational and Recreational Enrichment Programs
  • Other programs and projects which address the physical, social and economic deterioration in the City of Philadelphia, particularly, in the neighborhoods of those who reside, work, or do business in the Belmont, Mantua, Millcreek, and Overbrook sections of West Philadelphia.
